If you have been in Campus this month, you already feel the shift. Less guessing, more clarity. Less noise, more direction. January’s Music Business Month has been the kind of programming that actually moves people forward because it speaks to the real bottlenecks artists and producers run into, not just inspiration, but execution.
So far, we have been digging into the roles that shape careers behind the scenes, how touring and festivals really work, and how marketing and branding stop being random once you understand what you are building toward. Every week has been about turning the music business into something you can navigate with confidence, even if you are independent, even if you are building from scratch.
Week 3 is where it gets even more practical, because we are bringing in someone who lives in the middle of all of it.
Week 3 Guest: Kultar (KC) Chohan aka Keep Clarity
Kultar (KC) Chohan, also known as Keep Clarity, is the definition of a multi hyphenate done right. He got his start as a musician at age eleven on drums and percussion, trained his ear through concert bands and orchestras, then built real-world reps DJing major rooms in Toronto and Vancouver. That musicianship shows up in everything he does, because he is not managing careers from a distance, he is in the studio, in the creative, and in the strategy.
Through Keep Clarity Music, KC manages a roster that includes Powfu, Chin Injeti, Supa Dups, Uncle Strut, Cody Lawless/KNOWN, Shally Rehal, PEAK, and Haley Ahonen, plus mixing engineer and producer KULTARGOTBOUCE, alongside Hall of Fame founder Chris Taylor. At the same time, he is actively producing and songwriting with his roster and community, building catalogue across genres with the kind of attention to detail that comes from being a musician first.
This matters because the best managers are not just connectors. They are builders. They understand the music, the people, the timing, and the long game.
What you can expect from this session
This week is for anyone who wants to understand what artist management actually looks like when it is done properly. Not the fantasy version where someone swoops in and fixes everything, but the real version where a career becomes a system.
KC is going to unpack how momentum is created through management decisions, how artists get positioned so opportunities come faster, and what it takes to build a team that does not just support your vision, but multiplies your output. You will hear how managers think about relationships, leverage, catalogue, and consistency, plus what changes when you move from making songs to building a career that lasts.
If you are an artist trying to turn releases into progress, a producer trying to grow your network without getting stuck in free work, or a creative who knows they are one good break away but needs structure to earn it, this week is for you.
Why this fits the energy of Music Business Month
Music Business Month has been strong because it has not treated the business like a separate world from the art. It has treated it like the operating system behind your creativity. The goal is not to turn you into a corporate robot. The goal is to help you move with intention, protect your time, and build momentum you can prove.
Week 3 is a natural next step. Once you understand the landscape, you need to understand how decisions get made, how careers are guided, and how serious creatives get into rooms that change the trajectory.
How to get the most out of Week 3
Come in with one clear goal for the next 90 days. Bring your current release plan, even if it is messy. Be ready to ask one question you have been avoiding, like what to focus on weekly, what to stop doing, or what you need to look like before a manager would actually care.
This is a session for builders, not spectators.
