If you make music for screens, this is your moment. Sync licensing has moved from niche to essential, shaping culture across streaming, gaming, advertising, and beyond. Syncstate was built to meet that moment, not as another talking-head conference, but as a working marketplace where creators and buyers get real work done.
On Sunday, February 8th, 2026, Beatcave and award-winning music executive Everton Lewis Jr. host the Syncstate experience in Toronto, a one-day, action-driven event designed to spark deals, accelerate relationships, and turn great catalogues into licensed outcomes. Think live briefs, private pitches, hands-on editing demos, and curated mixers with decision-makers who can greenlight your music.
Why this partnership matters
Beatcave’s founders, Jerome and Amber, have spent years building one of Canada’s leading music communities, producing multi-day camps and music conferences where collaboration, education, and access lead to placements and growth for creatives and partners. Their ecosystem has already touched major TV series and films, with programming that pushes both the art and the business forward.
Enter Everton Lewis Jr., a connector of uncommon calibre. With a proven record of securing sync placements across film, TV, and commercial spaces, and deep relationships with studios, networks, and brands, Everton is the bridge between fresh talent and real industry opportunity. Syncstate is built around that bridge.
The promise of Syncstate

Syncstate is purpose-built to create momentum for creators and buyers in a single day. The guiding idea is simple: when you remove barriers between great music and live briefs, opportunity compounds. That is why Syncstate positions itself not only as a convening space, but as a marketplace where deliverables move, metadata matters, and relationships translate into deals.
How the day works

Educational Workshops
Many different sync agencies with supervisors, editors among other sync licensing professionals will provide vital information that attendees can use to help them land placements, understand the industry, and meet the right people.
Sync Discovery Room
We'll have a room that will be where music discovery happens and sync licensing professionals find sync ready music from our music creatives who have submitted music.
Sync Editing Lab
A top editor or supervisor takes an attendee’s track and demonstrates how it is cut and synced to picture. You see the choices, the timing, the micro-edits that push a song over the placement line. It is a rare window into the decision layer that defines our industry.
Networking Hubs
When the sessions pause, the momentum does not. A relaxed mixer soundtracked by attendee music, plus a walkable vendor village with curated partners across services, catalogues, gear, apps, and tools. This is where collaborations and pilots often start.
A venue built for creative work

Syncstate will take place at the Nia Centre for the Arts, a renewed, multidisciplinary arts hub in Toronto. The Centre features a flexible 2,500 sq ft performance hall and an 885 sq ft event studio on the second floor, within a footprint of about 12,900 sq ft. The spaces are built for adaptable programming, smooth transitions, and high-quality audio experiences.
What you can expect to leave with
A clearer map of buyer needs across film, TV, advertising, trailers, and streaming
Actionable feedback from supervisors and agents who make daily licensing decisions
Real submissions to active briefs through our on-site pipeline
Relationships that matter, built in rooms where people are actually listening
Content and proof points that help you leverage momentum after the event
Creators get proximity and process. Buyers get discovery and speed. Partners get relevance and reach.
For the culture, for the business

Syncstate has a simple conviction behind it. When you place working creatives, decision-makers, and aligned partners in a room that runs on real briefs and real listening, the culture moves forward and the business follows. That is the marketplace we are building with Everton Lewis Jr. in 2025.
