The music industry is hiring. Not in the "we'll keep your resume on file" way people hear at networking events. Real roles, real companies, real pipelines for people who are serious about building careers in music.
Every week at Beatcave, we're pulling the strongest entry-to-mid level opportunities across North America and breaking them down by what's remote, what's in Canada, and what's worth considering in the US. This isn't a job board. It's a curated list of roles that actually make sense for people who know music and want to work in it professionally.
Here's what's open right now for the week of June 23, 2026.
Remote Opportunities
Warner Music Group is the most active major hiring right now, and all three of their strongest current openings are remote-eligible. If you're based in Canada and want major-label experience without relocating, these are worth a close look.
Assistant, Brand & Audience Services - Warner Music Group (Remote)
Level: Entry. This is a foundational role providing administrative and operational support for digital marketing campaigns across WMG's roster. It's admin-heavy, but the access is real. You're inside one of the three major labels from day one, and you learn fast. Classic foot-in-the-door at a major that doesn't require relocating to LA or New York. Apply at warnermusic.com/careers
Junior Manager, Creator Strategy & Partnerships - Warner Music Group (Remote)
Level: Mid. You're building and executing creator and influencer campaigns for global catalogue artists within WMG. This role sits at the intersection of brand partnerships and digital marketing, and it's genuinely interesting because catalogue work means you're working across genres and eras rather than chasing one single artist's moment. If you've been doing independent creator strategy or brand work and want to bring that into a label context, this is the move. Apply at warnermusic.com/careers
Manager, Marketing & Label Services - Warner Music Group / ADA (Remote)
Level: Mid. ADA is WMG's independent distribution arm, which means you're running digital campaigns for independent artists and distributed label clients rather than mainstream major roster acts. This is one of the more interesting remote roles right now because you get major infrastructure and independent artist culture in the same job. If you come from an indie background and want to scale what you know, this is a legitimate bridge. Apply at warnermusic.com/careers
Canada
Canada-side postings are thin this week, which isn't unusual. Warner Music Canada is mid-restructuring following global layoffs, and the major Canadian labels rarely post externally at the coordinator level. What's available right now is meaningful though, particularly for anyone who wants to stay rooted in the Canadian music ecosystem.
Manager, Community Programs - FACTOR, Toronto ON
Level: Mid. Salary: $75,000-$85,000 CAD. FACTOR, the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings, is one of the most important music funding bodies in the country. This role requires a deep understanding of the Canadian music ecosystem, its stakeholders, funding structures, and how things actually move in this industry. If you've been embedded in Canadian music at any level, as an artist, manager, label person, or community builder, you know how critical FACTOR is. This is one of the most impactful music industry roles currently posted in Canada. Apply at factor.ca
Member Services Agent - SOCAN, Toronto ON (Hybrid)
Level: Entry, temporary contract. $28/hour. SOCAN is Canada's largest performing rights organization and one of the most well-run music industry institutions in the country. This is a contract position, but SOCAN has a track record of converting strong performers. If you want to understand how rights, royalties, and PRO operations work at a foundational level, there's no better environment to learn it. Apply at socan.com/about/careers
Label Representative - Public Records, Toronto ON (Hybrid)
Level: Entry to Mid. DSP strategy, social coordination, digital marketing, and content management for an independent label based in Toronto. Hybrid schedule. One of the only active label-side postings in Canada right now, and it's at an indie operation, which means you're doing everything rather than one narrow function. If you want scope over specialization early in your career, this is the right environment. Apply at onpublicrecords.com/hiring
United States
If you're open to remote-eligible US roles or considering a move, these are the strongest entry-to-mid level openings right now. All three are at major or significant independent companies, and two of them have potential for Canadian applicants to be considered remotely.
Coordinator, Viral Content - Universal Music Group / Capitol Records, Los Angeles CA
Level: Entry to Mid. You're identifying emerging social media trends and executing short-form content strategies that amplify Capitol Records artists across digital platforms. This is where records break right now. UMG is investing seriously in this function, and the role is at one of the most storied label imprints in history. If you live and breathe short-form content and understand how viral moments connect to streaming numbers and chart performance, this is a strong role with real career trajectory. Apply via ShowbizJobs
Analyst, A&R Administration - Sony Music, Nashville TN
Level: Entry to Mid. Operational support for artist recording projects: vendor setups, payment processing, union contracts, and financial reporting. It's backend A&R infrastructure, not the glamorous side of the business, but it's genuinely foundational as a career move. Nashville is also a more accessible entry point into a major label than LA or New York, with lower cost of living and a tight-knit industry community. Apply via ShowbizJobs
Coordinator, Sync Licensing - Downtown Music, New York NY
Level: Entry to Mid. 1-2 years of experience preferred. Downtown Music is one of the larger independent music companies with a significant publishing and sync footprint globally. Sync is one of the most durable revenue streams in music right now - placements in TV, film, advertising, and games generate real money for writers and publishers, and the people who understand how to place music are increasingly valuable. Getting into sync licensing early matters, and Downtown is a real company with a real catalogue. Apply via Music Business Worldwide Jobs
