Meta Ads for Independent Artists: A Four-Week Workshop with Spitty
A strong release deserves more than a boosted post. To reach people who might become listeners and fans, artists need to understand how paid campaigns are built, measured and improved.
This November, Beatcave is bringing Brampton rapper Spitty into a four-part Meta advertising workshop series for independent artists and music professionals. The goal is practical: understand the tools, build a campaign, improve your creative and audiences, and learn how to use ads around a release.
Inside the four-week workshop
Week 1 | November 10: Set up the foundations
Walk through Meta Business Manager and Meta Ads Manager, including the difference between a campaign, an ad set and an individual ad. Spitty will also cover Pixel (Dataset) setup, a foundational part of tracking campaign activity.
Week 2 | November 16: Build your ad campaign
Follow a walkthrough of setting up a Meta ad campaign. This session focuses on understanding the setup process rather than simply paying to boost a post.
Week 3 | November 24: Improve your creative and audiences
Explore ad creatives, audience optimization and the ongoing management decisions that come after a campaign launches.
Week 4 | December 1: Scale and retarget
Learn about campaign scaling, retargeting and applying what you have learned to a new music release. Google Ads may also be covered if time permits.
Meet your instructor: Spitty
Spitty is an Indian-Canadian rapper and community leader from Brampton. His energetic, thoughtful approach to hip hop brings South Asian samples and instrumentation together with North American influences. He cites Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole among his inspirations.
In 2025, Spitty performed at Music Matters in Singapore, his first festival appearance in Asia. His track ‘Blue Lays’ received regular rotation on SiriusXM Canada's Mixtape: North and Dhamaka and was played at a Toronto Blue Jays game. He reached a peak of approximately 100,000 Spotify monthly listeners, while ‘Kush’ found an audience among anime creators and inspired hundreds of creations.
His live credits include DesiFest at Toronto's Sankofa Square, a headline set at Root'd Fest in Brampton, Oshawa Music Week, FOLD Spoken Word Festival, Masala Mixtape in Brooklyn, and a Brampton Honey Badgers halftime performance at CAA Centre.
Who should attend?
Independent artists, producers, managers and music teams who want a clearer understanding of Meta advertising and how it fits into an artist's release and fan-growth strategy. Whether you are new to Ads Manager or have tried campaigns before, the series is designed around specific tools and repeatable processes.
Session dates
November 10, November 16, November 24 and December 1, 2026. Session times and attendance details will be confirmed separately.
